the first week at the farm was good. the family is really nice and their kids are cure and fun, althought the 3 yr old is quite stubborn. her favorite questions are porque (why) and porque nao (why not).
we went ona little trip for the weekend to an area called visconde de maua. it’s in the mountians and know for it’s waterfalls. i have done a lot fo hiking and walking and looked at waterfalls, rapids and the river. i stayed in a little place in vila de maromba. it’s been fun.
i have had a fair amuont fo time to myself at the farm. i only work about 4 hours a day. i am so quiet b/c i lack confidence in my portuguese, but a lot of communication still happens, most often me listening.
i have been thinking alot about what i want my life to look like both over the next few years and 5-10 years down the rode. what kind of life do i want, what kind of place do i want to live, what kind of place would i want to raise kids in…lots of questions and thoughts, but few conclusions.
i am enjoying the peace of the mountains and rural areas. and getting lots of sleep 🙂
