so i am back in the city, sao paulo that is. i only have a few days left in brasil 😦
i really enjoyed my time WWOOFing and i would definitely consider doing it again. i stay with a family in the countryside of Minas. It was a really great experience! It gave me the chance to experience another part of Brasil and not just as a tourist. I enjoyed the change, the simplicity of life in the countryside, the work with my hands, the rest, spending lots of time outdoors, having lots of time to read and journal, and much more.
it also brought many interesting experiences and some a little crazy or unexpected. so, i slept in a different place the 6 nights in a row.
Saturday – Poussada (inn) de Moises in Vila da Maromba
Sunday – Cecilia and Natura´s house, the family whose farm i was working on
Monday – in ther casinha, little house about 10 minutes walk from their house
Tuesday – at their neighbor´s house (quite an interesting story how this came about – stopped at their house to say hello, they wanted me to stay fro dinner and then it got dark and when i asked about leaving they told me i was going to sleep at their house. they spoke no english and portuguese with quite a different accent than the one i´m used to. quite an interesting expereince, but i enjoyed it)
Wednesday – at their other friends´house near Maua
Thursday (last night) – at my friend Levi´s house in Sao Paulo
I want to post some pictures, but my attempt at transferring my pictures to this computer from my camera were unsuccessful…so that will have to wait.
