So much has happened in my life over the past few years. But, so much more than just events; changes in my heart, my passions, what brings me joy and satisfaction in life. My dreams and aspirations have changed, are changing, are being shaped. The way I see the world and my place in it has largely been shaped by the last few years of my life. I believe God is continually shaping me, changing me. My desire to be more like Jesus and to follow Jesus.
When I started this blog I had hopes and desires to return to East Africa and Tanzania, but I was not sure when or how or if God would lead in that direction. I spent 16 months in Tanzania serving with Hanansif Orphanage Centre (HOCET) and Kujali International. It was a wonderful experience and I learned a ton. I finished my term of service in Tanzania and am now back in the US.
This blog was started as a way for others to stay involved and updated on what was happening in Tanzania, but this blog was not meant only for this trip, I will continue to use this site to share about where I am in life and where I am headed next.
So, here you can follow my journey, wherever God takes me. I am not on this journey alone. I am connected to others and my path crosses with the paths of others. I want others, including you, to take part in my journey. I want feedback, advise, encouragement and prayer.
So, I say ‘Karibu’ – Welcome. Welcome to my blog and welcome to my journey.
